Ingredients :
Puffed Rice (borugulu)(maramaralu) - 8 cups.
mustad seeds (avalu) - 1 tbsp.
Cumin seeds (jeera) (jeelakarra) - 1 tbsp.
Hing - apinch.
Chana dal (senaga bedalu) - 1 tbsp.
Peanuts (verusenaga pappu) - 1 tbsp.
Cashew nuts (jeedipappu) - 1 tbsp.
Chopped ginger (allam) - 1 tbsp.
Curry leaves (karivepaku) - 5.
Chopped green chilli (pachimirchi)- 1 tbsp.
Chopped onions - 1/2 cup.
Chopped Tomato - 1/2 cup.
Salt - to taste.
Red chilli powder - 1/2 tbsp.
Turmaric - a pinch.
Garam masala - 1/2 tbsp.
Coriander leaves (kothimeera) - for garnish.
Oil - 4 tbsps.
Process :
- Soak Puffed rice in water for 3mins and squeeze out the water keep it aside.
- Now heat oil in pan add mustad seeds,cumin seeds,hing,chanadal,peanuts,cashew nuts.fry them.
- Now add green chilli,ginger,Curry leaves,Onions.
- Cook till onions turns to golden brown color.
- Now add tomatos cook it till tomatos are fully mashed.
- Add Puffed rice ,salt,red chilli powder,garam masala.
- Mix it well.
- Well cook for 5mins.finally add coriander leaves.off the flame.
- Puffed rice upma is ready.
