Aloo Masala Dosa (or) Potato Dosa

Ingredients:

rice - 3 cups.
split black gram (minapappu) (urad dal) - 1 cup.
salt - as per taste.

fenugreek seeds (menthulu) - 1 tbsp.
(fenugreek seeds give golden brown color to dosa).

boiled rice - 1 tbsp.
(it gives good taste and smoothness).

oil - as per require.

For Aloo Masala :


Boiled Potatos (aloo) - 3.
Mustard seeds (avalu) - 1/2 tbsp.
Cumin seeds (zeela karra ) - 1/2 tbsp.
Hing (inguva) - a pinch.
Turmaric (pasupu) -  1/2 tbsp.
Curry leaves (karivepaku) - 5.
Chopped ginger - 1 tbsp.
Crushed garlic(velluli) - 2.
Medium size Onions - 1.
Red chilli powder - 1 tbsp.
Chopped green chilli - 1 tbsp.
Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp.


Process to make Dosa Batter:


  • Soak rice,split black gram,fenugreek seeds,boiled rice for 5 hours.
  • After 5 hours clean them.
  • Now grind them to a thin batter by adding little water.don't add too much water in starting.
  • Leave it overnight for fermentation.
For Aloo filling:
  • Cut the boiled potatos into pieces .put them aside.
  • Now Heat oil in a pan add mustad seeds,cumin seeds,hing,turmaric,curry leaves,ginger,garlic,onions,salt,red chilli powder,green chilli.fry them well.
  • Now add  boiled potatos.cook it well.finally add coriander leaves.
To Make Masala Aloo Dosa:
  • Now heat a dosa nonstick pan(if ordinary pan rub it with onion it works like non-stick).
  • Add salt to batter and spread it on the whole pan.
  • Add 1tbsp oil all over the corners.
  • Spread aloo masala evenly on the surface of dosa.Cook it for 1min.
  • Now roll dosa remove from pan.
  • Now serve it with chuntney or sambar or coconut chutney.
