Oats Upma


Ingredients :

Oats - 1 cup.

Water - 1 1/2 cup.

mustad seeds (avalu) - 1 tbsp.

Cumin seeds (jeera) (jeelakarra) - 1 tbsp.

Hing - apinch.

Chana dal (senaga bedalu) - 1 tbsp.

Peanuts (verusenaga pappu) - 1 tbsp.

Cashew nuts (jeedipappu) - 1 tbsp.

Chopped ginger (allam) - 1 tbsp.

Curry leaves (karivepaku) - 5.

Chopped green chilli (pachimirchi)- 1 tbsp.

Chopped onions - 3 tbsps.

Chopped Tomato - 3 tbsps.

Chopped Carrot - 3 tbsps.

Salt - to taste.

Coriander leaves (kothimeera) - for garnish.

Oil - 4 tbsps. 

Process :

  • Heat oil in pan add mustad seeds,cumin seeds,hing,chanadal,peanuts,cashew nuts.fry them.
  • Now add green chilli,ginger,Curry leaves,Onions,carrot.
  • Cook till onions turns to golden brown color.
  • Now add tomatos cook it till tomatos are fully mashed.
  • Pour 1 cup of water.after boil the water add required salt.
  • Add oats and mix well.Cover it with a lid for 3 mins.
  • finally add coriander leaves.off the flame.
  • Oats upma is ready to serve.
