Ingredients :
Raw rice (biyyam) - 2 cups.
Grated Coconut - 4 cups.
Boiled rice (annam) - 1 cup.
warm water - little.
Coconut water (kobbari nillu) - for fine paste.
Salt and sugar - for taste.
Process to make Appam :
Raw rice (biyyam) - 2 cups.

Process to make Appam :
- Soak raw rice in water for 3-4 hours.
- Clean rice 2-3 times.
- Now grind soaked rice and coconut and boiled rice to a fine thick paste.don't add toomuch water.
- if u use coconut water instead of water for grinding.it gives good taste.
- Mix salt and sugar to taste.
- Keep it at room temparature over night for ferment.
- Now heat pan pour 1 spoon of batter,tilt the pan all round to spread the batter.
- The edges should be thin the excess batter collect at the center.
- Cover it with a lid cook it on medium flame for 2-3 mins.
- Now remove lid.the edges should be crispy and middle part is smooth.
- Appam is ready ti serve.
- Serve it with chutney.
